Idmax 12" problem

Well i have everything hooked up and when i play it all im hearing is a slight rattle sound when the bass should be hitting, i've tried messing with the settings on the amp and in the head unit and nothing seems to work, also i've tried a couple different wiring configurations. On the cone in the middle is it suppose to be touching the cone that moves back and forth? there is a 1 inch gap in the middle and it looks like it should connect. I also tried my spare type-r 12" and it played fine, im pretty noob so any help would be apprecaited. thanks

what your describing sounds like your cone is seperating. but i think you may be talking about the spider below the coil. if you are, that gap is normal. i would double check your wiring.

i have it wire right now at dvc parallel, and i've tried it in a series and also svc

It is reconable from what I've heard but it may not be cheap. It's a nice sub though so it may be worth it. At least you have a spare to get you by.

i would but i purchased it off someone on this forum and im gonna try to get my money back, this is the second time i've gotten a NONE working idmax from this guy. Thanks for everyones help it was much apprecaited.
