ideas for trunk latch

ok on my 2000 grand cherokee trunk, it has those hydrolic lever things that are supposed to lift the trunk door up as you open the trunk it self. well it seems they are starting to wear, and they dont even barely hold the door up any more. i've noticed on some of the luxury cars they have those power trunk doors. if i'm going to have to replace it anyways, how hard do you think itd be to make it motorized? i was thinking maybe place two small motors on each side, some how to lift the door, and maybe program it to one of the aux buttons on my alarm. anyone else thought of this? or better yet think its possible?

its cool, but its also not for a daily driver, waiting for it to open can be a bear sometimes, and if it were to ever break that is kind of an issue. i would just replace the lift shocks.
