Give us some dimensions, we could let you know real quick.

I know Right? I think two 12s or two 15s have an advantage over a singl 18. But although thats not always the case. I just wanna figure out what will be the loudest for what i have to work with ya kno? Any suggestions From ne 1 who knos there ish plz. Thanks in advance.
two 12" subs has less cone area than a single 18" if you just do simple circle area formula, you will find that two 12's have 226.2in^2 or surface area, while a single 18" has 254.47in^2 of surface area. Making a single 18" a better option that two twelves on every level except for space saving, maybe.

Two 15's have considerably more cone area than a single 18" with virtually the same box size, so if you have the room and the money, I'd get some good 15" subs that take 1k RMS, and feed them 1200 a piece, although with impedance rise and a less that 14.4v electrical system, they'll probably end up seeing ~1000w

I have 42w 30d 17h this is basic dimensions. I could get more but those are basic dimensions. And btw i thought 2 12s=24" 1 18= 18" shows how smart i am.lol thanks for letting me knoe that. I like the idea of 2 15s since that what i currently have. Thanks for the input.

No problem, you have about 10 cubic feet to play with, minus 6 cubes for the two 15"s leaving you with 4 cubes for a port, which is plenty, so basically, if you can fit the dimensions you gave me, I'd totally go with the two 15s.

What would be some good 2 15" options that would work nice with my setup?

^^ depending on the subs 6 cubes may be a little small.

but regardless it should still fit.

as far as which 15s to get, there are so many options and opinions that asking which ones to go with is close to pointless, you just have to figure it out for yourself, do some research, try to find a competition in your area and see what subs are floating around there and if you like any.

SSA Shop - SoundSolutionsAudio 15" SSA ICON Sub woofer

Those ICONs will beat hard as ish, you'll wanna give the 3.5-4 cubes though, but you've still got lots of room for a port

FI.Qs are a mainly SQ sub, but regardless they'll hit very hard, and if you want to save space you can get the high QTS option, and put these in a sealed enclosure.

HDC315 Copper Coil Subwoofer

As aforementioned, the Audioques are great for the money

DC Audio - Woofers

Some DC Level 4's would be great aswell

SSA Store - Sundown Audio Z v2 15" Sub woofer

IF you can afford them, those Sundown Zs will rock your world.

there are tons of great companies out there, these are just a few

I know asking about subs is prob pointless but i went to the carl casper show MECA was there i would like two hdc3s but 1250rms will be underpowering right? On copper coils? I like the dc lvl4s also what about those subs on that power?

It's not underpowering at all. Statistically, you're giving them 1250rms, but with impedance rise, and slight voltage drop, you aren't going to be giving them a full 1250w. All of the woofers I linked too will take 1k no problem.

Could i fit the two hdc315s in an optimum enclosure with the deminsions i have?

Suuuure could, those HDCs are gonna want 3.25-3.5 cubes a piece. If you want, I could draw you up a box design later tonight, nothing fancy, but you're gonna want to reinforce that box though..

Yes that would be awsome. Just a note not sure if it matters but i ride with my back seats down all the time so i dunno if that would change th box just thought id mention. Btw i really appriciate your help thanks!

Just means Subs will be louder, It would probably still be a good idea to face the subs towards the back to give the sine waves more time to develop.
