Ideal front stage off a stock hu?

Eventually I want to upgrade my front speakers to amp'd components, while retaining my stock HU.

The practical solution I came up with would be using the stock signal to an LOC, then to a preamp EQ, then to the amp. Are there any EQ's out there new or used for around $50-$75 that are well worth the money? Any experiences with the RF 360 gimic or the JL cleansweep that would make them worth the money?

Pretty much. It's just a nice kit. A solo rite Scarlett 2i2, XLR mic and a loop back cable are my next purchases so I can get accurate phase...
