id overstock subs

I know I'm going to get noobed for this one but why would I want a dual 4 or dual 2 ohm (what is the difference)? One of those 10's would be perfect for what I'm looking for but don't know which sub to get.

no diff in performance just diff wiring configs.

Ok, let me try again. Will one do something different than the other?
Kinda....one will work better with your amp than another //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Look at the sticky in the wiring sections....pick the one you need to work with your amp

Ok, I think I have it now. Here are the specs of the amp I will probably be running it w/:

2 x 150RMS @ 4 ohms

2 x 300RMS @ 2 ohms

1 x 600RMS @ 4 ohms mono

I will most likely be powering only one 10in sub, so I take it that If I want to do 2x300, I need the dual 2 ohm and If I want to do the 1x600, I need the 4 ohm. The 4ohm setting will run cooler, correct? The amp will most likely be a PPI PC2600 (I hear these amps are known, to run a little warm, is that correct?).

If I just use the 5th channel from my PPI 5440, should I stick w/ the 4 ohm?

I'm going to go check out that sticky as well, thanks.
