icetee has returned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your title sucks. But as far as your questions. I just upgraded my phone, I was looking at all of the ones you listed.
1)Pantech duo- felt like a flimsy piece of plastic in my hand. IMO junk. But it is just as small, if not smalle then the pearl, iirc.

2) The pearl- A few people I know have them and more than one of them has had their trackball break off. And one them had problems with it freezing.

3)The curve- Seemed like a solid phone. Good features, etc... This was the runner up

4) The blackjack 2- Tons of features, windows, gps, large memory, easy to use, etc. Went with this and it's been good to me.
I pretty much agree with everything said here. My brother has the Pantech Duo and IMO it's made of very cheap plastic and the sliding is terrible (get's stuck, sometimes opens both ways at the same time, which isn't supposed to happen and confuses the phone)

Out of those I would go with the Blackjack 2 as well, but that's because I prefer the blackjack's windows mobile over the blackberry software. I've owned the blackjack 1 and the 2 is simply the same with many improvements. So go for the BJ2 IMO.

thnx for the serious responses guys, i think i have narrowed it down to the BJ2, and the curve. the only downfall of the curve is it doesnt have video, i dont know it the BJ does but i have heard the blackberry software is better.

Well I don't know about you but as soon as I get my phone I add on a bunch of apps, sometimes flash the ROM, and do mass things to it. AFAIK this is easiest on the windows mobile platform and is much more developed for, which is why I choose WM phones over others. And I don't know about the BJ2, but when I had the BJ1 last year it had a video camera so I'm gonna hope the BJ2 does as well. It was a **** good camera as well.

iPhone duhhhhhhhhh! but I would choose the blackjack 2, its pretty solid. I had the At&t tilt after that and loved it. More than anything the large sliding qwert keyboard.

nothing really super cool has 3g yet to my knowledge...
i honestly would consider the iphone...

i have had my curve for less than a year, and i am already trying to sell it to get an iphone... it is a way more powerful tool than i originally took it for...

i would do that but i am going to be eligible for an upgrade tm, and i can get the curve for 100$ and the iphone would cost me 400 or 500, and they arent THAT impressive from what i have experienced. my friend has one and they are OK IMO.

I have the HTC Kaiser (AKA ATT Tilt, but mine isn't the ATT version it's the one straight from HTC meaning it doesn't have the ATT bloatware) and it's great. While you didn't mention it because it's probably in a different price range (I paid 800 for the Kaiser but the Tilt was 600 at the time I bought my phone, not sure what the pricing is now) but windows mobile is a good operating system once you learn to use it and download mods to fit your every need. I'd recommend any WM device over the BlackBerry OS, but that's just me as I said before. Trust me, samsung puts out solid phones from what I've seen and I actually have a friend that has the BJ 2 I'll ask him how he likes it when I talk to him.

HSDPA > 3G > EDGE

Simply the data connections though, EDGE you need to wait a bit of time longer than with 3G. But what city do you live in? Not everywhere offers 3G coverage so it might not be a matter for you.

i got my curve for free //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

and i still feel that was a mistake... should have gone for he iphone...

i was so adamantly against the iphones.. always thought the BB's would be better...

my friend got one and hacked it and put a bunch of programs on it that were not only cool, but showed off its potential... OMG

his iphone is also a guitar tuner, a level, en etchasketch, plays games where you tilt it to control things (like a PS3)... it does so much... it is really way cooler than i imagined it. this is just the begining of what it will do/can do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

you need to "JailBreak" the iPhone first which is a software called JailBreak which basically breaks all the locks the iphone comes with that don't allow you to do things like get custom ringtones from other people and other stuff. Once the phone has been hacked with that, you can start loading it up with things. I did the JailBreak to a friend who I bought the iPhone for and sent it to Hong Kong for him and it was really easy and seems to have little to no risk. Here's some sites to look into if you do plan on going this route. (Also, I'm 99% sure this voids any Apple/ATT warranty, but those things are useless anyways.)

JailBreak is a free download, just google it up.
