IA20.1 help

There may be a simple solution to this. I might just be making it harder than it really is.

On my old Kicker 1200.1 amp, there was a set of RCA signal outputs. I ran these to my amp for the door speakers. Well I don't have this on my IA 20.1

Any suggestions? Or it as simple as running a couple sets of RCA splitters?

Another question:

I want to run 2 subs off this amp. My subs are dual 2 ohm SI Mag 12s. I know how to wire the sub coils (parallel) But do I run them to 1 connection at the amp or 2?

run RCA splitters? I think you are making it harder than it should be.

Sorry. Did I mention I have one set of RCAs from the stereo, I need to run to 2 amps? the IA goes to my subs. My small kicker 600 goes to my doors. My old kicker 1200 (subs amp) had a set out RCA out put to send a signal to my other amp. I use that amp (600)for my door speakers. But I don't have a set of out puts on this IA amp. So it seems I would need to split the signal before it goes to the amps. Right? or is that what the BR out is for on the IA?

wire your subs into parallel in the box then run one wire to the amp.
That is exactly how I have them on the IA. The IA has [+][+]--[-][-]. I guess it doesnt matter which + goes with which -. Some of the other amps Ive seen have, bridge this + with that -. But the IA does say. Does it matter?

Ok the IA has two speaker inputs that are bridged internally you can hook up both subs to the speaker terminals anyway you want and get the same end result. As for your RCA solution you should invest ina head unit with mutiple preamp outputs . You want your sub amp on the nonfader and your gonna need a 4 channel rca set for the amp for your rear and fronts . Now if you only run fronts you'll jsut need a regular pair . I dont reccomend jumping ur RCA's from ur sub amp to your Highs amp I suggest getting an aftermarket HU above all else.

Thanks, Ill look into it. I like the clean look of the stock stereo. I cant really stand all the lights and buttons of the after market stuff. My cousin tried to give me a nice little Kenwood last week. I may take him up on it.

They are some very nice double din after market units that arent heavy in the bling that will suit you. But for overall system good and performance you need and aftermarket peice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Whats "double din"?

does ur kicker 600 have rca outputs, if so, just run the rcas through that amp first and then to ur IA...
Nope, just inputs. I looked after you suggested it.

I never thought about it till you said something. But no, it doesnt

Doubin DIN mean it takes up two spaces of DIN which all the new stock radios I've seen are double DIN. He could run it through his kicker then to his IA but personally with such good equipment it deserves a better source unit then a factory peice . What your using is a line converter it connects onto your factory radios power wire and uses it for a rca signal this is far from desired for a good system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This is getting kinda of expensive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

No need in taking short cuts after spending all this money so far.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
