calling up my home boys now

I would rather support a little known company if they're doing shit right.
What does th 2500 top out at?
I've tested the amp to do 3300 watts RMS, 16v with an actual 1.1 ohm load, .5 DCR. I don't remember the exact voltage and current numbers.

Thats about 4700 watts max power... which is what I find most people to use when they test amps, even companies when they do a birthsheet. My testing is normally right on with manufacturers when under their conditions and using max power. Those conditions you will *never* see in a normal install, btw.

The orion 2500d perfectly stable running daily, and doesn't gain a heck of alot going from a strong 12v system to a 16v system, the 16v system was just cheaper for me to get //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

ive seen first hand that theres a large gain from running 12v to 16v on those 2500d's..
about 500-700 watts, depends on how strong your 12v system is.

Now... with one battery and car off...the amp only put out 1800 watts with a drop to 10.5-11 volts, stil wired to .5, and still a rise to 1.1-1.5.

It really depends on the voltage under a load that will determine how much of a difference it makes swithing from 12v to 16v. You may have swapped from a lacking 12v setup to a good 16v setup, whereas someone else may have swapped from a good 12v setup to an equally good 16v setup. In my personal tests with the 2500 I didnt see much of a diff between 12 and 16v... they made great power either way.

I appreciate how some of you guys are taking up for the team... thanks for the kind words. I also appreciate how some others are hesitant to bad mouth me and my accomplishments... the truth is that all of the competitors mentioned in this thread are hard working individuals that deseve all the attention they can get. All this is too much work for what little exposure we get in the end anyway.

Lets just continue to have fun competing and enjoy the products we use... win or loose it's a lot more fun than doing nothing on the weekends right?
