IA 20.1 vs. Orion 2500- head to head matchup

I would rather support a little known company if they're doing shit right.
What does th 2500 top out at?

are you saying orion doesn't know what they were doing? **** maybe they just did things right on my 4004 and 2500D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Not even close to what I was saying.

u have a small company and a big company, retail value is reasonably the same. 750 and about the same for the orion....TALKING RETAIL. the price ANYONE can get them. id rather throw 750 at IA than Orion as well. They appreciate it, Orion doesnt.

i'm impressed with your knowledge. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif can't have a conversation on this forum without some ******* starting a shit storm.
Right..

How many amps have you seen put out more then 15% current than voltage...and live to tell about it?

anything under a 1ohm load = more current than voltage

current = heat

heat = death.

Edit: The 20.1 is hands down a cleaner amp than the orion ever thought about being....

Something about the engineers knowing wtf they are doing at the buildhouse or something...

IA, I dunno never dealt with. You guys are making it seem like all small companies care more about customer and treat them better than large ones. I'll put my money that if I call alpine right now, I'll get better support that if I called RE //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

x2.

i have dealt with small companies that i support. soundsplinter, stereo integrity are a couple who i think are excellent companies have excellent service.

only on ca.com can i post obvious facts and it turns into a big ol thread

I wanted to try out the 20.1, but they werent on sale at the time, plus I got the Orion2500 for 480 shipped lol. I just couldnt say no. Plus if I sold the orion and got the 20.1 now, I'd be in the hole another couple hundred bucks, and I cant afford that right now. Unless someone just wants to outright trade me their 20.1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

But then IA would have to make matching amps for my mids and horns:crap:

Well, there's a difference between calling Alpine and calling RE. There's also a difference between calling RE and calling IA. I have personal experience with IA before and they do have excellent customer service, to the point of going out of their way to get me an insignificant pair of 187s before CES 2005. There is no argument you can put against IA's customer service, IMO.

As for the argument between the IA 20.1 and the Orion 2500d, I've owned products by Orion and IA, and I personally think the IA 20.1 is capable of everything the Orion is, and more.

(That, and I've been told the output of a 20.1 at the 14.4 the Orion is rated at. It's "greater than or equal to" and we'll leave it at that.)

How come everyone says the IA 20.1 puts out insane power, but no one will show a bench test of it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Unmatching amps are no joke. It's like having one normal sized ball, and one the size of a basketball. No good. Then again I dunno wtf Im talking about, Im bored and saying whatever comes to mind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
