IA 20.1, fine for street A?

On a single good battery that is 650si or less you'll maybe get 1500w from a 20.1. At 08 finals we tested the Stetsom 4k2d @ .5ohms is .5db down from a 10k @.5ohms. If I remember correctly 10k netted about 4000w dropping voltage to 10.3-10.5v and 4k2d about 3500w dropping to 10.7v. As you can see the small battery for street A is tough to get good power from.

Besides the amps listed above your other good choices for street A are

American Bass 500.1

American Bass 1000.1

Cactus Sounds 5k

Cactus Sounds 7000.1

Cactus Sounds elite 12

DD Z1A

DD Z2LV

Now these are pretty expensive amps but are all with in .5db for a 650si battery.

If money is tight and you don't mind amps that are .5-1.5db down from amps listed above then for around $700-$800

Sundown 3000

DD Z1

Cactus 5k

Stetsom 4k2d

American Bass 500.1

I probably missed a couple amps but hope this helps. Street A comes down to efficiency due to limited battery size.

Also best tested and proven batteries in Street A are

Stinger/odyssey 1750 1700

North Star NSB G2700, G2400

About .5db down in power but still not bad batteries

Power Master 2700

Kinetik 2000

I'm esepecially curious to see what this amp will do

How is the CD4800.1 tho? Thats the one i got the offer for.

I heard the atomic 5k is the same board as the cactus 5k.
dont know about the CD amp

however the Atomic and Cactus are not exactly the same..there are variances and differences in the amps also.. do what you can with your budget.

I'd go with the Atomic 5K out of the two options..

You are correct. I couldn't remember all that I've tested. But newest version of Atomic 5k is strong to. And there are probably some other good amps out there but I can't test them all or have some type of experience with them all.

One person the the States has the elite 12 and I've heard good things. Only thing is it's very expensive and takes months to get.

I know Mike has it down in FL.. interesting to see what he does with it.

its pretty much the amp to have in Street A.. well at least thats what the Euros have shown..

but of course the age old how much can you get out of a 650CI batt.. seems the guys overseas have gotten it to work
