amp on alpine type r

I am getting 3 alpine type r and i was wondering if i should put the pdx 1000.1 on each of them? and should i get the 2 or 4 ohm?

dunno if they can take the full 1000 daily but mine get 600 and they have no problems. it does not matter with the pdx line what ohm your subs are - they put out the same power at 2 or 4.

It'll be fine if you know how to control the volume knob.

I have 4 dual 2ohm 12" type r's in a ported enclosure & just bought a Sundown SAZ3000d to power mine. I have seen nothing but good reviews on these sundown amps I would look into them.

Also what kind of box are you putting the type r's in ported or sealed? Also are they 12's or 10's?

Seen 4 on an AB500.1 they will be fine

I have 3 12" dual 4ohm r's and had them hooked up to a modded mtx 1501 at .67ohms and it was sick. Figure about 1800rms

i would go with 800 daily

thats right about where all 6 of mine r running at and even with volume all the way up for hours ive nver had a problem
