I would like an opinion on a speaker install

I have mb quart components installed in my front doors. The woofer is in the factory location in the middle of the door and the tweeter is in a hole i drilled next to the woofer and close to the driver. This makes a large difference in the distance between the tweeter in each door and the driver, thus when I listen the left side dominates the sound. I am wondering if I can solve this problem with just an equalizer or putting the speakers in kickpanels or both? Thanks for the help

If you do it with an eq it's going to be hard to balance the sound on both sides of the car. The best way ould be to put them in the kicks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Kicks are certainly your best option, unless fiberglass intimidates you (don't let it, lots of good tutrials online) then you have a couple other options.

Though you want to try and keep the tweets and mids close together, the sail panels or A pillars are also good spots, plus they tend to raise your sound stage. In most cases (depending on vehicle) it takes little modification to put them in the sail panels aimed at the opposite side of the car. Most Tweets are positionable to do some fine tuning.
