I would appreciate some advice on what 2 12's

Hi all, I need some advice for 2 12's which I will be running of of a ppi pcx2200. I need most likely 2 12's svc capable of 400 watts rms at 2ohms. If you have any ideas on what I could run that would sound nice please let me know. I am currently running the eclipse subs in my sig.

THe PCX 2200 is not rated for 2 ohms mono. 2 ohms stereo stable... According to PPI (yes, i was told BY PPI TECH SUPPOURT THIS). Running the amp like that will eventually blow the output triodes or some shit. You will want 2 4 ohm DVC subs. Id suggest running 2 12" IDQ's (DVC 4ohm) in a sealed box. They are amazing subs that play low as 15"s without flinching.

umm if its not 2 ohm mono stable then how do you plan to wire 2 4 ohm dvc subs? isent that a 1 ohm load?

Also you could use 2 Orions` p12 d2...for the price they are not bad.

2 ohm stereo. 2 seperate chanels with a 2 ohm load. People run them on 2 ohms mono, but even with the great cooling the PCX's have they still get downright hot.

the TS-W126DVC's are 2 ohm subs and rated at 400 rms.

Thank you for the suggestions, I might go with them idq's I have heard them and I am impressed with their sound quality.

yes i would have to agree with melaza i bought one orionp12d4 and i have only ran it for about a week in a ported box with around 500watts runnin to it right now from a abahn amp and i would deff say that is nearly as loud as my freinds to 12'' type R's and i got it for less money(NO ITS NOT LOUDER THAN 2TYPE R'S BUT IT DEFF COMES CLOSE because he has a sealed enclosure and a shity amp and i dont. right now look on sounddomain.com and they are usually 200 but on sale for a 100each. now i've heard that, that's a steal.
