I stopped in a shop in town today for the first time, looking for an amp. I told him I was looking for around 400 - 450 watts. He said that to get that out of an amp, you have to spend at least $400 and proceeded to show me a Cobra amp (?) the only amp they sell other than JL ( //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif ). I smiled and left.

O...I told him it was for an elemental designs sub, he had no idea what I was talking about. RE? Adire? No clue there either.

I'm never suprised when people haven't heard of ED, RE, Adire, etc. They're based largely on internet sales and promotion, while most shops aren't.

I think the amp brand was cobra, im almost positive....something with a snake lol.

Dei (Viper) amps are quite good actually. The subs are mediocre. We sell them where i work, along with JL, Memphis, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Kicker.
