i was just thinkin...

this thread is about ported vs sealed genious. If he builds one ported box and one sealed box, he can test the difference in cooling ability as long as he uses the same sub.

How would making two different boxes test the cooling abilities of each box?

huh? what?........ lol...

ummm... it's called a bench test................. oh, never mind, If you dont get the basics you just won't understand how building TWO DIFFERENT boxes, one ported and one sealed and running equal tests, (same speaker, same power, same tone or music track, same timeline) will get you the results you are so craving.

Indeed. Would need a nice digital temperature probe... that would be able to get at the coil.

Waste of time in all honesty.

I meant that it was more involved than just building two boxes which ngsm already pointed out.

There really isn't much "new" air sucked into the enclosure. Watch videos of people putting paper in their enclosures. You will see that the paper doesn't just come flying out of the enclosure (unless it is completely covering the port before the first hit). For the most part, only a very small amount of cooler air will actually get to the sub. I highly doubt you would notice or even be able to measure a difference.

this is about the only good response i got from about 20 posts..... thats pretty sad but hey.... sometimes stupid people give stupid responses like this jacka$$ saying pour water on it, u do that n tell me how it goes

I swear I heard somebody say something about any cooling effect you might get would be negligible earlier in this thread ?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
