My intent is to make people laugh, nothing more. I accomplished that goal, except for one person in the class. And I'm really not racist, I just think that's one of the best ways to be comedic, because it's something that most people are way to nervous about.

It's also one of the best ways to get your *** kicked...

Sure, every culture has its racial jokes and people they like to make fun of...been going on for thousands of years, won't stop anytime soon. But making jokes like that in public is in extremely poor taste.

I think expelling you is a little too far, but a gentle reminder to choose another topic (I'm sure they'll come up with a PC way to tell you to STFU) is appropriate.

Heh, I remember in my AP US Government class, we were talking about voter registration, and the Motor Voter program specifically. In case y'all don't know what that is, it's a program where people register to vote at the DMV when they get their drivers license. So here's how it went:

Teacher: "Does anyone know why the motor voter program was considered to be a failure?"

-Long awkward pause-

Teacher: "Anyone?"

-I raise my hand, teacher nods at me-

Me: "Because the DMV is always full of Mexicans?"

-Class starts laughing, teacher is glaring at me with the dirtiest look he can muster-

Teacher: "Jordan, you have lost your talking privelages for the next week"

Me: "You know it's true. The first thing they ask you at the DMV is if you're a US citizen!"

Teacher: "True..."

Me: "Hablas espanol?!"

-Class laughs again-

Teacher: "OUT!"

-Exit, stage left-

Yes, they do. I suppose that might have something to do with more people finding intelligence and some modicum of respect for other people a draw than 3rd-grade attempts at humor once you wander out of the backwoods communities.

Strangely I'm personally finding that the overwhelming majority of the respondants posting in this stupid, ignorant thread of yours to be in agreement with me. Do you think this is indicative of the entire forum outside of you being prudish? Or perhaps it stems from your behavior being viewed, by and large, as unacceptable? I'll let you be the judge...

But you guys don't understand, I'm not REALLY a racist. I have no problem with anyone, any color, any race, anything. That doesn't bother me. That's why this sucks so much, I just wrote a freaking sentence to get a little humourous attention. And what happens? The school is calling my freaking dad?

If I get expelled over this, well, I think that just shows how crappy things have got. I can understand maybe an afterschool detention, but screwing up an entire year of my life over a single sentence that didn't affect A SINGLE person just because my teacher got upset. That's bull crap.

Prolly a good idea to lock this. And as for getting expelled, my entire fraternity almost got kicked off campus because of one little jewish joke which made reference to killing jesus. Watch out man, you may trying to be funny but a lot of people will be looking to screw you over.

I, being in a relationship with an asian girl, found that comment to be racist, it is something I would NEVER say in good company of asian peoples.
