Well, I have a coworker/friend who has been bugging me for a stereo. She has polk coaxils already but the stock deck. I figured this could easily be taken care of via the cheap head unit thread. Now comes the fun part. She wants a sub, but doesent have alot of money. So here is what I came up with. A 12" RE audio re series sub in a 1.5 cu ft box tuned to 33 hz, that i will build. For an amp I was thinking a profile audio 400sx. It is a 2 ch, rated at 150x2 at 2 ohm. (http://www.profilecaraudio.com/amplifiers.htm#Specifications2)

So:

12" Re audio RE - $70 shipped

Profile 400SX - $45+Shipping (Lets just say $60 Shipped)

Cheap headunit - $50 shipped

Scosche e400 8ga amp kit - $40 Shipped

Headunit install kit - $20 Shipped.

Built sub box - $30

That puts me at $270 all togeather and she said she can get around $200, so with a little extra saving, she'll be fine. What do you guys have to offer for advice?
