I think Xplod is trying harder.....

I may not have a beginner setup, but why all the talk about Xplot and these beginner setups like Xplod and lightning audio? Everyone has to start somewhere. Everyone doesn't have 5 thousand dollars to blow on a system when their 16. Hell If I had 2 Jensen 6x9's in my car off the head unit, I could careless how ya'll felt about it, long as I liked it.

not everyone invests 5g's into their stereo alone.

when i was 16, i spent about $800 for my entire car stereo (wires, sub amp, subs, deck, speakers, etc). theirs just many better options than the lightning audio/sony route.

so what a sony amp with the required CEA rating?
No such thing exists.

The CEA 2006 ratings standards are simply that. They are a standardized method of rating amplifier output capabilities.

Compliance with said standards is a completely voluntary decision on the part of various manufacturers.

If the Sony amp Alpine posted about is CEA 2006 compliant then if it is fed on a 14.4vdc input then it will output 900w @ a 2 Ohm load.
