i think i need more batterys

alright i got a DDz1 the thing is a tank but it drops volts hard core to about 12.4 at idle with AC.

i have two batterys one starting one and a 110ah one, i also have a 250 amp alt from DC

how mant batterys you think i need to keep it around 13.5

Your fine IMO. 10 or 11 is where i start to worry. 12.4 is normal electrical in a vehicle with any load over stock. IF anything maybe 1 more.

oh really? the amp does get hot, BTW ....... im running at 2ohm so it would get 34xxrms at 12.5 and 44xx at 14.4

Yeah anything above 12v is perfectly fine, obviously the higher the better. Where is the amp mounted? It shouldn't get too hot running at 2 ohms.

Z1's are known to run hot, Why ? I do not know but i dont see anything out of the ordinary there. And if you have it wired to 2 ohm then you wouldnt be getting that much power after box rise.

so i could turn the gain up more? would i really get any louder if my volts drop more?
