I Think I Need a Truck Already!!!

here we go again the crap talking man. like i said before i dont want any problems. I refuse to fall into that category of being known as the crap talker. yeah my blazer isnt the loudest i know that but I'll make sure **** straight that the next car I have will be louder than anyone else's on the street. the btl's are going, the car is going, and i've got the money.

wow - someone is taking the joking to heart - grow up dude - its a forum

frick guys. here in hawaii is like 2.80 i think at costco but normally it's around 3.37. do trucks really **** for getting loud? they sound **** loud when i'm next to them, in fact louder than my blazer
Well, the math is simple.

The less area of air there is, the easier it is to pressurize said area. (By easier, I mean with less force). My brother's single cab '03 F-150 got extremely loud off of 140 watts going to 2 no-named 12"s. My '98 Mustang Coupe doesn't really get loud with 600 watts going to 2 JBL 10"s. My subs are better, it's just it has to pressurize more air.

At least, this is my take on it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

and he brags about only running 800 watts... under powering subs can kill it faster than over powering it...

If YOU said this, please just ship all of your car audio stuff to other people... give it out on the street because you are not fit to own any sort of aftermarket speaker.

If under-powering could kill a driver, then drivers would blow when you turned the volume down.

to the ear yes to the meter its different my truck hit 142 sealed same box same amount of power different car 144.x.....

same scenerio 142 sealed 143.5 open while in my blazer there was only a .1 gain from doors closed to open.....

he ment under power and trying to copensate thru clipping vs lotsa clean power...

low power clipping will kill faster than just cleanly overpowering the shit outa the sub....

hey nick (spl gods) please dont be calling me "crap talking man", I was just stating some well known facts bout the Hawaii car audio scene //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :)

So if you decided to drive blind folded, but compensated by driving slower, would you later claim you crashed because you drove too slowly?
Driving slow causes accidents.

Its simple logic.
he is giving those btls 800 and clipping the shit outa them then tried to sell them as great condition, and never even mentioned one is siliconed from a puncture when he mounted them...

apples and oranges man, what im saying is serco05 ment clipping vs overpowering...
Overpowering, by definition, means too much power. That would imply enough power to cause damage.
I dont mean to sound petty, my point is if we continue to use and excuse these terms, peole will continue to misunderstand and perpetuate them as factually accurate. Nothing personal to you, Im just saying...
