I sold my HDC3.. looking at buying 12'' XXX old style.

I just recently sold my 12'' HDC3 in 2.25 cubes ported to 33hz. I am very seriously thinking of going to pick up an 03-05 XXX. Say i put the xxx in the recommened box tuned to 33hz as well, what differences am i looking at? I expect the xxx to sound much better, but what about loudness to the ear? Both subs will be powered by the same amp (sundown saz 1500)

i have an RE SX 12 i'd be willing to sell/trade. its an 07. D2, ive had it take 1000watts no problem. its rated 1000rms, 2000 max. sub can take 1300 no problems... i've saw in a post a while back of a guy putting 1439 to one of them.

false, a clean 1500 would be ok for a sa12 in the right box, but it would be pushing it
