Well first off, check my sig for my setup. The X-over Im using is a 3-way which outputs high, mid, and low freq via RCA's. So I have a 4-channel profile running my comps and a tsunami monoblock running my sub. I have my head units hpf off and the low pass filter off as well. I have the eq all flat and the loud off. Also, I have the low freq tuned to 80hz, the mid tuned to 1k and the highs at 12k. The slopes are bass=1W, mid=1N, high=1W. Then on to the x-over. The low cut off is 90hz, the mids are 90hz to 6k and the highs are 4k and up. The only reason I overlapped the mids and highs from 4k to 6k is because it really sounded much better like this. Just to clear this up as well... the profile's x-overs are set of full for both sets of outputs. Also, one set of outputs (2 of the channels) are run to the tweets. The other 2 channels are run to my mid drivers. Im using an inifnity comp set. The reason I set it up this way is so I can use the x-over as a dedicated tuning point for my whole setup and have a dedicated and seperated mid and high line from the profile. Basically I just wanted to know how this setup sounds to you all. If I am doing something wrong please let me know. The only real problem I'm having is getting my mids to sound right. The sub and highs sounds great, but the mid gets a little muddy at times. No matter what I do with the x-over or the head unit I just can't get it quite right. So if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this setup sound better let me know. I know how to use the equipment I have, Im just pretty new to the whole tuning deal so I need some help.
