I see quite a few things that are funny in this thread. First you have ONLY been driving for 3 years. That is not a lot of time on the road at all. LE does not have to radar you at all. They do not have to get a damn thing on camera either. People get tickets from flicking a cigarette butt out the window and no one but you and the LEO would know if you really did. There is a thing called "officer discretion" that goes along with their swearing of the oath that whatever they say is the truth and final word. Don't make an *** out of yourself going to court man. You will just be one of thousands of angry teenagers trying to get out of a little ticket.

I know exactly what your feeling man. It's not what you wanna hear, I know. That will go away with time. Just chill out a bit. I got a BS ticket one time as well. Dude said I had time to stop, but instead I drove through a "yellow light". He even agreed it was yellow. Now unless I was going 200mph, how would be able to stop fast enough if the light was yellow the whole time I drove though it? Chalk it up as a donation to your city. Thats all you can do man. Every teenager that gets a citation has this mentality that they will "show that cop who's right!" I guarantee your not going to win if you go to court. Not tryin to dog on you man, just telling ya how it is.

Although you already broke the law with your 5% tint and dude... you have a bunch of Beans as you avatar! If you would of got a ticket just for your 5%, you would probaly be one of the hundreds of guys on here making threads of how it was "BS to get a 5% tint ticket". Ya know what I'm sayin? You see those on here all the time. No one likes a ticket. But someone life screws you for no reason. It happens.

Most people getting speeding tickets, it happens. Most people speed everyday, its just a matter of time before you get caught. And I'm not saying you were speeding. As far as it being expensive, how much was it? And tickets are usually not likely. It may hurt you now, but you'll recover. Like I said, I would just chalk it up as a donation to the city and move on. But if you do go co court, please let us know the outcome.

It happened. They took the pic, but the ambulance was a little ways back in traffic. My bro-in-law pulled up and over like others were doing, but he was first in line and actually had to pull through the intersection. I never saw the pic, but I don't think the ambulance was visible.
And the company New Orleans and the surrounding area is using is out of New Zealand. They WANT people to just pay the ticket because it costs MORE to fight it. Like I said, it's not about law & order, it's about $$$.

Now I will say this: These "Scam Cams" are new in my area and it's possible that there are bugs that will be worked out (like my sister who got one going under a yellow light). Maybe issues like this will be addressed in the future if enough people complain. But I doubt it.

Just an FYI (my brother has been a fire fighter for the past 20 years, and I have tons of family that work as police officers/EMTS...etc)

You don't need to move when an emergency vehicle pulls up. You stay parked, and do not move. Most people when they move cause more of a danger to themselves and the emergency vehicle then they realize

Also if they see you speeding, and you try to speed up so you are out of his jurisdiction...they can follow you. lol

Just because you cross city/state/country lines, the can follow you if you have broken the law

in court they have to produce proof of clocking him w/ the radar going over the speed limit. if OP was so much as going 58mph in the 35 and the cop wrote down 60. OP is out of the ticket
this also applies to if the police officer does not right down the model of car you have (ie: eclipse, Tiburon) you can also get out of the ticket.. my buddy got out of one this way

want some advice? get a blackberry/moto Q and set it on RECORD when you get pulled over. that means YOU get ~40 minute sor whatever of unedited "what i say goes" version of the pigs story. it's saved my *** once before ... he said i was doing 10 over then wrote ticket for careless driving (not a felony, just a fine) but i fought that shit saying he said my driving was fine i was just going toof ast then court came around and changed HIS story ...
