heres another thing, he gave you a ticket for doing 52mph, if he was only doing 60 it would have took a LONG time to catch you which would have meant you were running from the police if it took that long for you to pull over OR he let both of you go flying down the road with no lights, siren, in the rain at night around traffic on a dangerous road how is he protecting the community by letting this take place

Thats hard to believe considering they go through and check speeds and they take multiple pics when it happens...
Here they go through a company out of boston and they go through every ticket, and then they get passed back here and they go through them locally..

It happened. They took the pic, but the ambulance was a little ways back in traffic. My bro-in-law pulled up and over like others were doing, but he was first in line and actually had to pull through the intersection. I never saw the pic, but I don't think the ambulance was visible.

And the company New Orleans and the surrounding area is using is out of New Zealand. They WANT people to just pay the ticket because it costs MORE to fight it. Like I said, it's not about law & order, it's about $$$.

Now I will say this: These "Scam Cams" are new in my area and it's possible that there are bugs that will be worked out (like my sister who got one going under a yellow light). Maybe issues like this will be addressed in the future if enough people complain. But I doubt it.

i will. like i said, the cops are known dicks in sherwood (i'm in gravel ridge, the sherwood cops just took over about maybe 2 months ago if that) so they have been getting LOTS of reports of harassment and like i said a many local businesses got together and filed a class action lawsuit or something like that because they claim the cops are harassing them. which i dont doubt at all, i've had cops come in, order food, and be like "oh... all i have is 2 dollars" (one of them tried that twice) all i can say is sorry dude not gonna cut it.

95% of that post was bullshit. Most radar guns DONT print out speed readings, the officer reads them and issues a citation. Laser, stopwatch/vascar are similar.
He doesn't have to show shit at court except commonly a certificate of accuracy if the radar/laser set has to be tested by state law. As well as a certificate acknowledging that he is approved to use said speed testing device.

You dont get a trial by jury with a speeding citation haha, the judge would find that funny though. If you dont like the ruling take an appeal.

we were in the same vehicle. cause he even called for ****ing backup (thats how bored these cops are) we didnt know a 2nd cop pulled up until he knocked on the other window (5% tint lol) lucky he didnt get me for that... he even shined his light on it and said is there anyone else back there i cant see.... but the second he flashed his lights i rolled down my window and turned on interior light so he'd be able to see us...

yeah he may have been "clocking" you. Well, if you clock a vehicle you have to follow said vehicle for a certain distance according to your states laws, PA is 3/10 of a mile, at a constant speed keeping the same distance between cars. Accelerating to catch up doesn't count.

Be wary of your states laws with recording video and audio, it is a felony in PA to record someone without permission audibly as it falls under the wiretap law (ancient and vastly outdated).

I get my information from real life experience, you can feel free to request a jury trial for a speeding ticket but let me know what happens with that. I'll be laughing with the judge/magistrate/local authority.

I read what the constitution says and I know what happens with traffic tickets, two different things fortunately or unfortunately depending on your situation.

Lastly the section you highlighted deals with civil trials, this is not under civil jurisdiction. Criminal traffic court.

all of the buisnesses are leaving that area because of the taxes. did'nt you notice best but and wal-mart left and went to n.l.r. they have to make it up somehow.

yep.. they did just build a new walmart in sherwood though. im not sure if its considered sherwood or NLR cause it IS kinda close to the nlr airport... as in you can see it... who knows.. i might be JUSt out of range.

Yup, and while I agree I dont make the rules and unfortunately I dont have an answer for you.

Go to court, dont take no for an answer, bring a certified copy of your driving record, bring your friend along and talk to the judge. You can always appeal the lower courts decision.

I see quite a few things that are funny in this thread. First you have ONLY been driving for 3 years. That is not a lot of time on the road at all. LE does not have to radar you at all. They do not have to get a damn thing on camera either. People get tickets from flicking a cigarette butt out the window and no one but you and the LEO would know if you really did. There is a thing called "officer discretion" that goes along with their swearing of the oath that whatever they say is the truth and final word. Don't make an *** out of yourself going to court man. You will just be one of thousands of angry teenagers trying to get out of a little ticket.
