I now officially hate cops...

exactly. he was still at LEAST 150 feet behind me when he turned on the lights... i think he just wanted to try and get me before i left city limits and got into the next city...
this is easy

a cop HAS to be facing you to clock you

or see you clearly going over the speed limit

if he was so far behind you there is NO way he can say you were going

X miles per hour

I don't know if it was said already but the lights do not have to be on for the camera to be rolling.

Good luck with it, I deal with a lot of police in my current job, and they all seem to be very cool, except for the one or two that seem to be douchebags.

this only applies if one pleads not guilty.
most people believe its not worth the time or the effort to get out of a ticket

Because no matter what you can not get out of it unless by some add chance you were video taping your speedometer at the time you were pulled over (Never the case) He is fukced no matter how you look at it. Only way out is if he pleads not guilty. Then he will be given another court date. The officer will be made aware that he needs to be in court to testify on his behalf. If he shows you are guilty period. If he don't show, you get off.

where was he when he clocked you?
like i was saying tell them

you want to see video

hear the recording of him calling you in for speeding

and you and your friend get your story straight.

proof of clean driving record from the DMV

you should have a good chance of beating it.
Video not required for court. Recording of his radio call not required either.

There shouldn't be a need for them to "get the story straight" if they tell the truth about what occurred? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

cop pulled me over 2 years ago leaving from a party. i literally just pulled away from a stop sign making a left and i know he followed me. he said i was doing 60 in a 30, but hed only right it up for 55. anyway, jsut went to court for it last month and he shows up. 2 years later:eek:. he says i was driving a 1993 suburban meanwhile i drive a 96 jeep grand cherokee. they find me guilty, 6 pts on my license and $140in fines/court fees.

i still cant believe he showed up 2 years later, wrong vehicle and im they still say im guilty.

i mentioned it. some do have to but most anymore run 100% of the time since they are digital now

all im saying is they are going to try and get him to slip up on his story

were you in arkansas? where were you pulled over at?
jacksonville cutoff road (i technically live in sherwood now, they JUST took over and actually have like 10 cases at last count where people are suing cops for harassment (including local businesses)) many of these cops are shady. I was about 100 feet from the jacksonville city line.. the waffle house is in jacksonivlle about 3 miles from where i got pulled over..

see that.

and in court he must provide PROOF that you were speeding. i dont care how good his word is. Police are not above the law when it comes to providing evidence
95% of that post was bullshit. Most radar guns DONT print out speed readings, the officer reads them and issues a citation. Laser, stopwatch/vascar are similar.

He doesn't have to show shit at court except commonly a certificate of accuracy if the radar/laser set has to be tested by state law. As well as a certificate acknowledging that he is approved to use said speed testing device.

You dont get a trial by jury with a speeding citation haha, the judge would find that funny though. If you dont like the ruling take an appeal.

well, there you go. they are known for speed traps over there. i have a friend that lives in cabot, going home from n.l.r and got pulled over doing 2 mile per hour over. they still gave him a ticket.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif i would fight it.

thing is they never used a radar gun so that doesnt matter. he said i was going 60 because he was having to go 60 to catch up to me. his logic is totally flawed and i really wish i had pulled out my camera (it has audio as well) and recorded the entire conversation....... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
