I try to save/invest to support myself in retirement but no way am I planning a legacy of funds or family wealth for my kids. I got myself to where I am from nothing, my kids can do the same. Raising a booger eater for 18 years is gift enough then they get booted off into the real world to make their own way.

I'll follow Buffet:

"Give them enough where they can do anything, but not so much that they can do nothing"

I think it's good advice. In all seriousness, my dream is for my children to build upon what I have built. That is what I hope, anyways. I do not have children as of yet.

Interesting.

I was forced into real life and have pretty much failed. My sister on the other hand was coddled, had her own way, everything paid for, never worked a day in her life till she was 23, and turned out pretty successful. I really don't think you can develop a game plan for your children. Just go with your gut.

I meant the question for lousiana crx, but nice to know too. OTR Trucker? You a Line Haul Driver, $1800 a week seems a lot. The Line Haul Drivers at my company I work at do not make that much I don't think. Unless you drive a ridiculous crapload of miles a week.

The Miata is sorta like a street legal go cart...its pretty peppy due to its lite weight...plus it has a near perfect balance and excellant handling......but its not really my style of car either...It will probally be gone this spring.....

I never drive my CRX except to Car stereo shows...so maybe 10 times a year...It sits parked the rest of the time having the system redone show to show...It now has a Wings West body kit...this was a pic right before the body kit was put on it.....

I had a 240SX project coming up...but It looks like I'll be giving that car to my son...since he tore up the last car I bought him...he only has about 6 more months or so before he's 18 and then he can take care of himself.....
