I need a sub for small sealed enclosure. .8 max, needs to be able to handle 600 watts RMS at 4 ohms (so single 4ohm coil, or dvc 2ohm) from PPI PC2150. No more than $300.00 at real world price, not MSRP...please provide links to online stores if you have em.

I was leaning towards a Kicker L7, but now I keep hearing they don't perform so well in a sealed box and prefer ported which I don't have room for. The other option I was considering is a Boston G510, but thats only rated for 450 watts RMS, otherwise that would be my choice. Does anyone think it'll handle 600 without any problems?

Like everyone, I want it all....Loud and Clean, but if I had to choose I would lean more towards SQ. If it matters this will be in the trunk of a convertible.

Try a kicker cvx if you were thinking about an l7.

It's just a round solobaric, more geared for small-sealed enclosures and sq.
