Have you tried searching? I believe when I used to frequent these boards, this was a very common question, and it has been covered by intillectual people multiple times.

The Ti is an overmotored woofer, and you may have problems with it. Do some research, it would really help you out.

they are both really awesome wooferes...i owned a xxx and i can vouch for it and say when it comes to sql...its in my opinion one of the top 3 atleast sql drivers currently...especially with the new one comin out,...wow

i did try searching but i didnt see any comparisons between the two . i own the xxx 15 already but i want to upgrade so i was wondering what people thought .

thanks ProjectPat06 thats what i needed to hear i was debating on getting another xxx 15 or just going with the ti pro i know over all two 15''s would get louder but i was seeing if people liked one over the other buts thats good enough for me

from my reading on these 2 woofers I would have to conclude that the Ti will be louder and the xxx will have more sq I think overall the xxx is a better sql woofer I would have say Ti would be better if you were competeing but will still be very nice for a DD

I have a Ti pro and its a pretty good sub. I had to go thru 4-5 different box sizes to finally get it how i wanted. Nice and loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I have never owned a XXX or ever heard one but i have never read anything bad about them so i dont think you can go wrong either way. Thats my opinion. If you get the ti pro its gonna need alot of power to get it moving so i have heard and learned from personal experience.

Curious, how many people besides Civic have actually heard a Ti Pro to sway your vote away from it?

Do most of yall even have an idea of how they are engineered?

And to the poster, have you considered a Ti? It is more oriented to normal listening, instead of the competing style of the Pro.

Exactly, from everything I have been told the Ti will have the same linear output that the Pro will have. Both have about 25mm one way travel before motor Bl falls off below 70% or so. For music, the regular Ti is a much better driver. Again, this from all that I have heard and read. Not to say that the Ti Pro doesn't have it's purpose.

In that light, the Ti is every bit as comparable to a XXX that a Pro would be. So why not look at a single or a couple 15 Ti's. It is a slightly more efficient woofer and can get plenty loud. However, it is not as well suited for a sealed enclosure as is the XXX. So ultimately it depends on how much power you have and how much box space your are willing to give up.

Look at it this way, most people run XXX's in a considerable larger enclosure than you would need for the Ti and it also would require a good deal more power to get any louder than a Ti.

the regular Eclipse TI uses the tc 3hp motor...correct?

i have had both a 15'' TC 3hp and a XXX 15

the TC beat the xxx in both SQ and SPL.
