I need some sound deadening help....

Got distracted by the troll. Doors, roof, back wall and floor (if you can stand it) are the logical priorities. Doors are absolutely critical if they have speakers in them.

RAAMmat is going to be the best value. Dynamat Xtreme is slightly better and can be a good value if you can get an employee discount on it or something close. In most cases, it is far too expensive for what you get.

Second Skin (which I apparently own) Cascade VB-Max and Hushmat are better quality still and Second Skin tends to be the best value among the premium brqnds, again unless you have a hookup.

I really dislike the new eDeads. They are better than the old asphalt garbage they used to sell, but the plastic facing layer is a very poor choice. You need aluminum foil for maximum benefit - the thicker the better. Several people have reported failures with the thinnest eDead, v1². If you are determined to use it, stick with the v1SE², but I strongly believe that RAAMmat is a much better value if you are trying to do this as cheaply as possible. You will need less and end up spending less.

Now I have to return to my job at Second Skin:rolleyes:

Rudy AKA Don, why do you like Second Skin so much?

You recommend it in all your posts

You have a website dedicated to proving that its the best

You are either in love with them or getting kicked down with some $$$

its probably cause he did testing on all the products(most main ones at least), second skin came out on top, even SS baseline product came out over all the rest

Did you not read the site at all?

These are just more false claims. I do not recommend them in all of my posts. I list Second Skin along with others. The Web site is in no way dedicated to any single company's products. The new version I am working on now includes more testing I have done and Cascade and Hushmat join Second Skin at the top.

How about you provide the test results you referred to earlier or admit that you are just talking out of your ***?

Well one of my friends told me this stuff is good but i hear the kind that you roll or brush on is crap. Is it? Here is wat he told me abouthttp://www.quietsolution.com/html/quietcar.html

bottom there are 2 clips.
It should be middle of the line liquid. No liquid is going to be as effective as a mat with a good solid aluminum foil layer on it. Definitely wouldn't say they are crap and if you have the vehicle stripped and have access to spray equipment, it can be the easiest way to go. Just remember, with a liquid you will probably need to apply 4-5 coats to get to an adequate thickness and allow some drying time for each coat.

with liquid i would use mat first and then the liquid on top of matmto freeze the mat in place while adding a few more layers of mass.

And different target frequencies. I've done it and it is very nice - just lots of work.
