I need some amp help

I need an amp for 2 500 watt Clarion 12's. I don't want to spend too much. They sounded nice in the shop on a 600 watt jvc amp but i don't know if that's the way i want to go with it. Please help.

Are those Clarions 500w RMS? Or was that peak?

Ok so they are 250 RMS. SVC or DVC?

So you are going to want to probably send them around...~200-250RMS.

Some amps that come to mind would be... :

Kicker 02KX400.1 ~$350

Phoenix Gold QX500.1d ~$380

Rockford Fosgate Power 500bd ~$300

I would also look at the comparable Tsunami, Crossfire, Arc, Autotek, Zapco, MTX, US Amps, US Acoustics, DEI, PPI, and HiFonics respectivley.

will this sound nice on my factory head unit. i have a 94 grand prix special edition. I know it wont sound as good as it would on an aftermarket head unit but is it doable??

that's reassuring. i was worried it would sound crappy and i dont want to get a different head unit because it would be costly and i like the volume controls on my steering wheel.
