i need opinions

As noted above, sense you're going active, buy your mids/tweets separately. For smooth tweets look at cloth like materials like silk and whatever other odd materials they've come up with. That's not to say that the metallic based materials are harsh, very few do sound good.

For mids, at the price these CAN NOT be beat. Silver Flute W17RC38-04 ohm 6-1/2" Wool Cone: Madisound Speaker Store

I'm looking to get these SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (H1396) 1" Textile Dome Tweeter: Madisound Speaker Store , They used to have the freq resp graph posted, but these have a very good off axis response.

If you're going to be on axis these can't be beat ScanSpeak Illuminator D3004/6020-00 Tweeter Textile Dome: Madisound Speaker Store

Hmm I'll have to think about it. I know the silver flutes are bass heavy and the tweets response looks quite smooth till about 20000hz.

I'm still kinda hooked on the focals I auditioned. And I can get the polks for like 150 bnib hmmm to many **** options. Main reason I'm still rocking factory is cause of all the options.

The Flutes aren't bass heavy, but they do play really low with ease. I have mine playing down to 55 Hz/12 dB per Oct. at 150 watts in a sealed enclosure. I like to compare the Flutes to the HAT L6's.

This , forget about the polks cause they still wont compare to a setup like this. To buy a nice set of comps ,just to trash the crossovers seems like a waste anyways.

i have a set of focal 165vb and i dont think the tweets are harsh. i also dont have them reflecting off the glass either. the midbass could be better but i also dont have my doors deadened or fully sealed yet. but i do like the smoothness of them. i have them running off of about 140w a side.

the polyglass 165 v30 is supposed to have an upgraded mid with a bigger motor and different soft parts. the tweets that i heard were just a bit harsh but not near the point to were i couldnt tame them down. im still thinking bout supporting a local shop but is the set worth the money $530

I'm all about supporting my local shops to, but not to the point of braking the bank. I support one shop here so much so that I work for free. I help them from installs to resealing the black top as I hang out there so much, but they do give me a few perks and discounts.

Wow a bigger motor? Glad I didn't get them probably would've never got them to fit. Have you looked into the Morel tempo or rainbow? I know rainbow is crazy expensive but very nice speakers.
