i need opinions

The hertz are nice, but there are lots of other good ones out there at that price. What about HAt's or morels or B.A.

Or diamond audio or I.d. ,lol the list goes on .

Im assuming you are wanting more spl than sq from your current setup? Your def going to need something that will handle some power to keep up with those sundowns. For smooth highs u obviously want some silk tweets.

McIntosh, helix ,rainbow, cdt, and zapco also make some nice speakers in that range.

my sundowns are actually quite tame atm. i have them turned down so much its really just a little bump. but they do get loud.

the comps will prolly be ran active on a sundown 100x4

the tweets will be in the a pillar glassed in pods, and the mids will be in the door which has been deadened and sealed.

im not quite sure on the processor yet

massives handle alot of power and have good mids, but you wont like the tweets if your wanting smooth.
they wont fit in my doors just a tad bit too deep.

really leaning toward the kappa perfects since i can get them for cheap cheap

Here's the deal. If you want a laid back tweeter, stay away from the Kappa's. I have had them and their metal tweeter can be pretty bright. The Focal's are a great pick. I enjoy the tweeters, but some people say they are a bit bright, so I suggest listening to a pair first.

I suggest going with the Hertz Audio comps. I have installed 2 pairs and they are great speakers. They were in a boat, so I couldnt really compare them to my Focal Utopia's. I have really been wanting to get my hands on a pair of the Hertz so I can install them in my truck and do a comparison. I think it would be a toss up on which would sound better.

The Focal Utopia's can take some power. I was running 250wrms on each side on mine before I got rid of my Clarion 4 channel amp. They sound great and they should, for as much as they dented my bank account when I bought them.
