i need HTML help

hey i'm going to write my girlfriend a letter but in HTML source code.. im then going to put the HTM file on CD along with a autorun.inf file directing the CD to auto-open the HTML page.. i want to play a particular song in the baccground so my question is should i embed an MP3 into the HTML source or have it autoplay with the autorun file? or should i burn a mixed-mode CD and autorun the HTM file AND the CDA file?

I would embed it, it could cause her computer to lag trying to open up too many things ( i have no idea what her computers specs are )

Would also look cleaner without having pop ups and what not. As well u could tell the mp3 to loop in the html where as her mp3 playing program might not be prefrenced that way.

er,

if the disc is going to be used only on a computer,

an autorun.inf and index.html file should do it.

CD:\autorun.inf

CD:\index.html

CD:\music\loveletter.mp3

i'm sure she'll be impressed.

Embedding sound into an HTML files assumes the user has all the plugins to support playing it, and also has them enabled.

just convert it to wav. this is a CD right... and I suspect if all you're gonna have other than the music is an HTML file, that there's gonna be a buttload of freespace on that disk, so use it...

the simplest way to embed is



take out the hidden=true if you want to see the webcontrol
