OK, it's been awhile since i posted on here. But i have a 2000 Hombre std. cab, with 12 RE 8's behind the seat they are sealed using app. .25-.27 cubic ft. per sub, i am using one 1501D MTX amp to power them. It has been modded and the subs are wired at .4 ohms total at the amp. The amp is wired with 0 gauge, and i have an Optima group 31 bat., and a 240amp Iraggi alt.
The last show i went to i did, 147.8DB. That was on the passengerside kick.
Now i am looking to making my setup louder. What can i do?
I can redo my box and i can think of two ways to get louder. I can make a bigger box, and put 16 8's sealed, or i can do 6 8's ported with aero ports.
I think 6 ported would be louder then my 12 sealed setup, but i am not sure it would be louder then 16 sealed.
If you guys can think of any other setup, besides doing a blowthrough, let me know.
The biggest box dimensions i can go for a sealed setup are: 51 long X 23 tall X 13 Bottom width X 4.5 Top Width. This will leave 3 inches between the side of the box and cab. 4.47 cubes total
Or the biggest box i can go for a sealed setup are: 54 long X 23 tall X 13 Bottom width X 4.5 Top Width. 4.74 cubes total
