I need help Choosing subs SI MAG vs tc 3000

Breaking down T/S's is fun. What I have a problem with is that based off of your post, any 3 inch core driver is basically a Mag...give or take a little. Right? Old school Nuke 12's, Brahma MKII 12's, ED A's, Blueprint 12's, etc, all have T/S's that are close enough to fall into the category of "close" for T/S comparissons. None of the above sound like any of the others. The same thing should be noted when trying to compare an RLp to a Mag - they are very different beasts when it comes to how they perform in someone's car or home. They sound different, they "hit" different, have different extension capabilities in different enclosures, etc.
Our Mag's are very different than the RLp's, and anyone who has heard both drivers will tell you just that.

I almost said to compare our older drivers made by your company for a closer comparisson, but even then they were considerably different from one another.
That’s reassuring to know.

I hope you can understand that my main concern for this consumer. He had obviously been through some serious hardware, XXX, W7, RL-p and a 3HP. I think if anything he needs to upgrade to TWO of whatever the heck he likes because I know a TC-3000 is not going to give him much more beyond his 3HP uberwoofer which he was clearly disappointed with. If one mag can best two of any of the above, I'll lay down before it.

That is all.

What do you do at TC Sounds?

sq and everything else aside, does the mag REALLY have more output than the tc3000? i realize xmax isnt everything, but displacement is a big part of output, and the tc3000 has i believe 34mm xmax compared to like 24mm?

not trying to call anyone out or act like a badass, just looking for an explanation as to how a sub with 2/3 the xmax can create more output than an equally sized sub. also, judging by looks, doesnt the tc3000 have slightly more cone area from a narrower, taller surround?

now raise your hand if you have heard the TC3000. since we all agree ts perameters don't mean sheit the Tc3000 may actually beat the mag and we will have our new bandwagon woofer. i do wounder how the havoc compare to the tc3000 and the mag though.

how much diffrent will the 3hp be then the Tc-3000? and what happen to the price of the Lms's they are alot higher then projected. WHHYYYYY lol.

Also i know i havent owned every sub.... just almost every super sub. and the list continues from there. also.... i didnt say i was unhappy with the Uber. like i said that was prolly my fav. Right now im gonna throw a 12 inch ava in a ported/sealed box and see how that goes.

also in my hatch back mustang. Should i fire the sub up at the glas. Put the seats down and fire it at the front of the car. Or put it firing towards the back. I feel towards the back sorta is sealed off from the rest of the car. Which way will get the least cancelations?

Not all of us said that. If we were to believe that then all woofers would be the same...which they are not.

Xmax says dick about SPL abilities. Take a look at every woofer DD offers - somewhat smaller Xmax's but they will probably spank you in the SPL lanes in a proper install.

Xmax does play a large role in low freq extension with a sealed box. In SPL the boxes are sometimes tuned as high 60 hz and if they are playing a frequency around the tuning of the box the sub may not be moving that much at all and alot of the output is from the huge port.
