I need help ASAP

I just purchased an Audiobahn A4801T amp, I bought it from Crutchfield, and it said that it put out 150 watts rms by 4 channels at 4 ohms, which was how much power I wanted...However, upon recieving it, on the box and in the manual it clearly states that is puts out 250 watts rms by 4 channels at 4 ohms...Is that too much power to push 1 set of Boston Acoustics Pro60 (120 watts rms) components, and 1 set of Infinity Kappa 6x9's (110 watts rms) for the rear?...If so, I have 2 10" Boston Acoustics G5 subs, that are rated at 450 watts rms a piece, and if I bridge that amp, it says it will put out 700 watts rms to each sub, should I do that? OR should I just return the amp? Is that amp good to begin with?...Thank you for any and all advice, I really need it....

OH MAN! youre running boston pros off an abahn amp??? wow. i would reccomend another amp lol
Could you please give a thorough answer, and explain what you are thinking...I need all the help/input I can get, thank you...

okay... lol audiobahn, though it may look "nice" is put out by ANABA, an amp company that makes mediocre at best equipment, and highly overrated. Now i see you running thos Boston Pros (mid-high end components there) and using an abahn amp wont serve those comps justice.

im goin to bed lol im tired

Could someone please help me out here, I have to know what to do really soon, because if I should return that amp I need to have it in the mail really soon....Please read my post and give me some suggestions...Is that amp too much power? Should I keep it or get rid of it? Thanks for any input and/or suggestions.

I would like to stay under $300 for this amp, because I still need to get an amp for the subs...That is part of the reason why I got this amp, it was the right power for money and it looked good...

If it is possible I would like to use that amp though...Even if it is used to power the subs...Any input on this? Or is the amp just bad? If it is just that it really doesn't put out the power it states, that is in my favor because it needs to be less based on my speakers rms ratings....

Make yourself happy and get a real amp, like one made by US Amps. Autobahn is Best Buy like crap pretty much. Distortion values and non-linearities are not standardized on in the industry allowing companies like Autobahn to overate the piss out of their equipment.

As for your real question, it will have enough power but don't expect the amplifier to last and expect it to take your speakers out as well. I just wouldn't run one of those , not even in my enemies cars. Sorry.

The specs on this amp are great...THD is .02 and the signal to noise ratio is greater than 100....None of the other amps I have found have such good ratings?...

ALthough eveyone in the forum would suggest a diffrent amp for those great components, i know how you feel when it comes to returning stuff, you dont want to deal with all the waiting and having to deal with such a long transaction, but yes you can use the amp, even though it says 250w it will only put out maybe 1/2- 3/4 pof what it says and you can alwayz turn down the "Gain" knob on it to trun down the wattage the amp puts out, hope i helped!

those specs rite there are called BS numbers....get that amp tested and see what the actual THD is i dont think its anywhere near 100.

edit: yea like spaceguy said... you CAN use it. but IMO it will be a waste of boston pros lol

Why will it be a waste of Boston pro's ? Is the sound quality of the amp bad, or what is actually bad about it? I am not against returning it, I just want to make sure I do it for the right reasons...Could it power my subs instead ? the amp says 700 x 2 rms, and my subs need 450 rms each....? Thanks
