I need help ASAP

I do not see any particular reason to get rid of your audiobahn, it would power your subs just fine when you get the money to add a 2ch amp for your fronts. It is very ironic that SS and Flakko are trying to tell you not to purchase something based on online reviews, when they are doing exactly that. My personal pick for an amp on your fronts would be a Diamond Audio D5300.2. Check the classifieds on this forum, there was one for sale on here at a great price (125$) not more then 2 weeks ago.

yea... i mean look!

Audiobahns top of the lineWritten by Steve, Detroit,MI on July 23, 2005

I knew that audiobahn was serious about their products when they came out with this sub because i have two of them and they are just as good as my boys two mtx 9500 and the flame q is about a fraction of the price. I must admit though I didnt buy this sub from here, I paid about $100 for mine on ebay brand new still in the factory sealed box taped with the factory tape. They really are worth $300 though.
and the classic:

Hey. You have to get this sub, its crazy. It has so much bass I blew out my back window. I think this is one of audiobahns best.
i told him... go ahead and use it lol but he wont be doin he Bostons justice

Yes, as I stated earlier. There is no standard for the specs put out by the amplifier manufacturers. You measure distortion using the 47-50th harmonic usually and they can arbitrarily pick a few that are not the norm to make their spec better (and falsify more gain). Again there is no linearity spec and if so maybe it is logarithmic as again they don't have a standard.

Think about it, would be asking these questions had you bought a Pyramid amp that was 1000w for $75?? No, you would know it is a POS. Autobahn has the advantage of a huge distribution network since they have had creative marketing in the past. Therefore their prices are higher than some of the other "off" or spec cheating brands, but you are just paying markup for their distribution chain. Go ahead and keep it, but I guarantee if you get any more serious about your car or listen to someone else's Boston's installed correctly with a good amp you will be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif sorry later on. If you don't mind wasting your money keep it, in the long run it just isn't the right choice.

I think, if you like it you should run it. You could get a different amp, but supply and demand pretty much dictate at a specific price point, just about all of a type of product will be equal. Virtually any $225 4-channel will sound and perform the same. Use that amp for your comps, or use it for your subs- either way it's fine. Reviews on websites, and forums for that matter need to be taken with a handful of salt. You seem to get a 80% numbnuts to 20% knowledgable ratio. Is your amp overrated for wattage? Probably. My question is, if you like it, and it runs your speakers as loud and clean as you want, does it matter what people think? My amp is rated the other way. Xtant says my 403a does 50w x2 into 4ohms, and 100w x1 into 4ohms, or 200wx1 into 2ohms for a sub channel. I am running Dls UP-6 components, and 2 Kicker Solo's, and If this is what 300watts sounds like, then I have never owned an amp prior to this one that made remotely what it was rated at. If you had $400 to spend on a 4-channel, you could get a much nicer amp, but for your budget, use what you have if you like it. Besides, with Crutchfield you can hook it up, and if it sounds like *** in a tin can, you can unhook it and send it back. You have a month. SO DO IT MAN! Have fun.
