I need advise on buying a system for my car

So, I don't really know much about car audio and I'm looking to buy a system for my '07 Scion TC and don't want to get completely screwed on my cash expenses. I don't really know what brand to get or how many watts my amp should be or pricing or even a good c-d player. I want some bass but I want to be able to hear my music as well. I need as much trunk space as possible for grocery shopping. Also I don't want to break the bank to hear and feel some good quality music. ..... Budget, what sound do you want, loud, or just a subtle addition? Are you wanting just the CD player, sub(s), and amp, or are you wanting the new speakers too?

Hey, id say just get a 2 channel amp and a nice set of component speakers.. A used 2 channel for around 100 and a set of pg rsd's for around 90.. Then you need the wiring kit, around 50 dollars for one kit. Dont get subs if you are DD and need lots of space. It will sound really good with just the less than 300 expense.

Give a budget and how much work you wouldn't mind doing (for example, would building a box, and running power wires back through your firewall into the trunk be something you could do?), and what you want exactly. New HU I see you want, what exactly do you want it it? Ipod connection, Xm radio, bluetooth?

You want all new speakers, amped, and a sub/amp for the lowrange? Or just a HU and a sub?

I'm not sure the budget yet.. tryin' to get an idea .. I want the whole system.. c-d player, speakers in the front and back seats and possibly two subs in the trunk possible built in ..(seen that at a car show) and an amp to push it all... I want loud but I want a switch to turn off the bass when I have my daughter in the car.. not sure what brands to check out or avoid...

There isn't a firewall into the trunk it's a hatchback but I could mount the amp down by the spare tire and I seen at a car show where a guy mounted the subs right into the sides of the trunk so I still have all my space available.. I would like to be able to hook up an IPod to the radio .. what's the bluetooth exactly?? Isn't that a little chip that you download music from your computer and just plug it into your car stereo?? That would be awesome!! I really don't know how much to budget for a system... I don't even really know the ranges..

Why not just get a stock sub enclosure that comes in those? They fit a 10" sub and is mounted to the side of the trunk(hatch)
