i need a sql sub. help!

"i currently listenen to my music on a daily basis around 147-150 daily. i want it around 155 daily. "

You openly admit you haven't actually metered your setup, you're just estimating based off what someone elses does- which means nothing.

Since you're happy with your L7s just want louder, if you have the room go with 4 of them with a 2nd amp. If not go a sub that will handle more power, again get bigger amps or more, and drop a lot of money on your charging system.

im not sure i what subs i want to get. i have been back and fourth trying the figure out the best setup. i currently have 2-15" L7's powered by a zx2500. im getting god numbers but i want it to be to the point where when ever its too loud for me, it will get just a tad bit more louder. i currently listenen to my music on a daily basis around 147-150 daily. i want it around 155 daily.
ok so here are the choices ive been stuck on. 2-15" RE MX sealed, 2-dd9512's vented of course, 4-10" HDC3 if possible. feel free to give me some other choices. i want it to be very freakn loud but have ateast better sq than the L7's. this is how they will be powered depending on my choice.

RE MX 15's- zx1500 each

dd9512's- zx2500 each

HDC3- zx2500 each pair

thanx
If you want SQL/SPL go get yourself 2 13W7, it will serve your purpose. You're going to have loud and accurate bass.

Check the (1st) page.
I know, I meant where is he at after these reply's.

And two 13W7's aren't going to get him his 155's daily. (trusting that he knows what 155 is really like). Two 15" L7's is already pretty darned loud. Anyway, I stick by my original post. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

my bad guys ive been away. well let me clear it up, i often listen to music that has alot of bass, i know im not going to hit the same numbers with every song cuz every song has different freq's. i guess wut im saying is that i want to be capable of hitting higher numbers. ive only been metered twice. neither on TL. and i know thats the only one that matters but, it kind of gives me an idea. my highest ive hit on my epic -160 is 152db (w/new amp) 149 (w/old amp) and on the audiocontrol meter 151.1db (w/old amp). so it gives me a estimate at where im at. i would but my 15's in a ported box but i dont have room. righ now my L7's are sealed two. maybe i have a higher spl than u would expect from sealed L7's is be cuz i have a custom vent cut out on my rear deck into my trunk. its prolly 18"x7" (rough estimate)

Our last big #'s build @ our shop consisted of 4 powerbass XA3000 at .5 ohm powering two MOJOQ15" in a 03 silverado, the truck had a blow through with a loading wall box. It did 152.8db@39hz. Now i'm still having a hard time beliveing your in the 147-150 range with a sealed box in your trunk. with or without your "custom vent" in the rear deck...

With that being said if you want to be louder than you are, build yourself (or have someone else build) a ported box for your L7's. You have a good start your 15's have a butt load of cone area. I realize you said you dont have enough room for a ported box but try some different box designs for the equipment you have before you start dumping more money into things you may not need. Cause MDF is a hell of a lot cheeper than subs and amps...
