werd, I had to use it on my Sony MP3 phone. Its retarded, the older version could use MP3's as ringtones and the new phone, thats labeled as a sony walkman, cant but has 1G of memory for its MP3 player...bunch of r-tarded engineers...

most likely just blocked by your service provider's firmware if you got it from them

Both model phones came from Cingular. Its not like it was hard to get around, hell, it was there forums that explained how to get an MP3 as a ringtone via cutting it to 30seconds.

i know the older sony phones would use a full length mp3, and had the option to continue playing where it stopped the last time, which was pretty neat

i thought you meant you couldn't use ANY of your own mp3's, tho

They did? My first one was a sony S710a. 128MB of memory for pics and MP3's since it was a part-time mp3 player but could use full mp3's as ringtones. This new one is a W810 and is more MP3 player and camera than phone! Its at a gig of memory for MP3's and a 2MP Camera but wont allow full mp3's as ringtones...meh, wierd.

Its kewl...the S710 swivled (sp?) but this one is a candy bar with tiny *** buttons...otherwise its tight as hell...
