i need a good 3chan amp

i need a good 3 channel amp that will run a set of components at 125 or more watts per channel at 4 ohms and the 3rd channel a mono channel for my sub at 600 watts or so at 2 ohms, the components are cadence cvl-5k and the sub is an AQ SDC2.515. price really isnt an issue to a point, id rather not spend more then like say 500 or so max. reason i want that kind of amp is its going in a truck and i really dont have the room for 2 amps

I think you're better off running 2 separate amps if you REALLY wanted 600w for the sub. There are lots of amps that are very small that could give you the power you're looking for at your price point.

thanks for the reply, funny thing is i was actually looking at that mb quart amp, i just wasnt sure if if 500 watts would be enough for the sub, although im not even giving the sub 600 watts now and im happy with the output. forgive me as im still new to this, but i would use the first 2 channels for the components which would be 125 watts each at 4 ohms then bridge channels 3 & 4 to get 500 watts at 2 ohms? keeping in mind my sub is a dual voice coil 4 ohm sub.

Yeah, that's what you would do - channels 1 & 2 to each set of components, then bridge 3&4. You will not hear a difference between 600w and 500w.

However, I completely forgot the SDC's only come in dual 4 configs. That changes things a bit. I know some people have ran the DSC4125 @ 2ohms bridged with success (post #3). I don't know of many 4-channel amps that are RATED to be stable at 2-ohms bridged (the S4a definitely is though).

if i did go with the DSC4125 what kind of problems would i run into? overheating issues or even worse? if its just overheating issues it shouldnt be that big of a deal, i live in northern new hampshire where i really doesnt get that hot, and i rarely drive for more then like 20 minutes at time which is my daily commute

Mainly heat, but I honestly think you'll be fine. After a bit more reading, lots of people are running @ 2ohms bridged with no problems.

thanks for the reply brian, but as much as id love that amp, its a tad out of my price range , but that mb quart seems like the ticket for me, seems like you cant go wrong for the money, and if it doesnt work out, i can always sell it to a buddy of mine. one more thing, whats the fuse rating on the mb quart? i cant find it anywhere, also im guessing 4gauge wire should be sufficient? or 1/0? also my components are cadence clv-5k's and im giving them 75 watts of semi dirty power(i wont say amp just know its bottom of barrel garbage) and they clearly want alot more power considering my old junk coaxial speakers got way louder. i think its mostly due to the larger voice coil in these components, anyways would 125 watts be enough of a difference from 75 to make it worth my money?

I think you'll be able to hear a difference. If by "dirty" power you mean you have the gains all the way up, you'll definitely be able to hear a difference. And the fuse rating on the DSC4125 is 100A. 4-gauge is sufficient, but I'd definitely go with 1/0 then use a reducer or a distribution block ~2 feet before the amp to drop to 4ga. This way, if you ever wanted to add a second amp, you wouldn't have to upgrade your wiring. Make sure your grounds are clean, too.

nah by dirty power i mean the amp sucks, its a cheap sony xplod amp i still have from my first system which was my last system, im just trying to do everything right this time around. my gains are set correctly and i use no bass boost, i was just curious on the wire size cause i already have 4 gauge ran and i didnt want to replace it if i didnt have to, i plan on upgrading vehicles before i upgrade amps again. i think ill go with the dsc4125, i dont think ill have to add a second amp, im not running rear fill so all i got is front components and 1 sub.

In that case, you'll be fine with 4.
