I might have fInally decided on a laptop. What do you think?

Is there anything inparticular you need the laptop for? If its for school consider getting a slightly cheaper laptop, maybe a speaker system for it, if you have a nice big tv with HDMI consider an HDMI cord, a printer, etc. Sort of create a home theater PC type setup.

Well I don't have school and the most I carry my laptop for the most part are to different rooms of the house. I do have a 52" tv and a 25' hdmi cable from monoprice. So I could just buy the computer itself and a wireless keyboard then just move it if I have to. There all wireless now so I'd assume I could just use my tv as a monitor. But for tge most part, best buys laptops from what I saw today have better hardware than 90% of the desktops.

The only one I saw better had a i7 860 ( I believe ) 1 tb 7200 rpm hdd and a weaker gpu. ( gts 230m I think )

ugh. I don't even know what to do. Would be nice to get somejing that's like 600 or so then have about 500 to blow on ohdr stuff from bb. ...

You could buy parts online and build it yourself.
