I m looking to do a stealth subwoofer encolsure that goes over my spare tire.

I have only made one subwoofer encolsure and that was out of mdf. So I m looking to do a 10 or 12" subwoofer and build it so it fit over my spare tire. I was thinking about just making a square and that dropping it in the center of the spare tire and supporting it somehow so it does not move. Other thing is should i not have anything covering the top of the speaker cause there is a Styrofoam piece that goes over spare tire iwas thinking about just putting a 10" hole in it and than drilling holes in the thing piece of mdf that cover the plastic holding the rug and giving structure to the floor. So any suggestions tips or write up would be helpful.

that doesn't sound like much space at all....... maybe .5 sealed. i would think about doing a fiberglass enclosure and using a suited driver. you can cut the hole out of the pressboard, and integrate some heavier mesh or expanded metal, and re-carpet over it. pics would help get the picture of what you have to work with
