1 jl t13w5

2 dayton 10" low profile

1 memphis 12" shallow mount

2 mb quart 10" low profile

1 alpine 12" type r shallow mount

I'm leaning towards the jl, simple box, less space used and great reviews but wondering about which will have the best mix of sql. Since the rest would be cheaper (which is important) . Will be running off of 400 watts right now, bumping it up to 700ish in the near future. Thoughts?

no thoughts? Not like I drive my truck much but i had to take out the ported id max d/t new baby. I'd like something stealth in there for the odd day I drive it alone...

If you are looking for stealth and small area, I have installed several of those memphis subs. I was actually decently impressed with their over all performance. They are not some crazy spl or even sq sub, but they get the job done enough to satisfy someone with limited space options or stealthy install options.

Agreed. I knew a guy who had a Memphis Shallow 12" and I was surprised as well... even though it was on a Hif. Brutus 2006d.... still impressive

I'm leaning towards the two daytons or the 13tw5 although I havent heard too many reviews on the daytons. Price wise they slot in between 1 12" memphis and 2 10" which is about all I have room for without major mods. Any others, thanks everyone I appreciate it

Being cold here 162/365 days of the year I'd prefer a sub to last. Even more painful I'd like to avoid warranty issues as living in canada makes shipping/duties a pita. Anyone else want to chime in?

I think they are the best choices, but I have not heard the Daytons yet.

all i can tell you is to avoid playing a double-rolled non-foam surround in sub-zero, and avoid high volume in freezing temps. butyl/rubber surrounds are fine, but they do freeze when you get a bit below 0f. it's not a problem with single-roll as long as you don't crank a non-moving sub for a bit, as it can cook the coil. those are the only 2 cold-weather problems i've had/seen, strictly speaking about subs

Not interested in the SI BM MKIII. If they were available I'd be up for trying one out but lack of subs/parts scares me away.

I'll look into the Kole Audio's, thanks for the suggestion and it seems the daytons are looking like the front runners.
