If you arent cruising faster than the flow of traffic or passing you should NOT be in the left hand lane on a multilane road...

I'm one of those people that doesn't necessarily have road rage, but when someone cuts me off, or rides up my ***, I'll screw with them.
For example, I was driving on a 2 lane road today, in the left lane. This lady rides up my *** for a little bit.

So, I slow down a tad, so the car that was next to me pulls further away, leaving her space to get over, and get in front of me. Or so she thought.

She gets over, I speed up and get next to the car in front of her. Then, I speed up a little bit, so that I'm further in front of the car that was next to me, leaving her the opportunity to try to get in front of that car. Just as I get far enough in front, I see her looking over her shoulder to attempt to get over. I now slow down, so she can't get over.

Repeat this for a good 10 minutes, and she finally gets next to me along side me. Gives me a nasty look, I shake my head and laugh. I turn off the road.

Anyone else find themselves doing this to people that piss you off on the road, or is it just me?

i do shit like that all the time. my favorite is on the freeway, when you either stop someone from getting off the exit they want to, or make them get off on an exit they don't want.

also, to anyone who says the left lane is for passing, this isn't always the case. the cops in my town are real assholes, and will write a ticket for anything. Including changing lanes more than once in a mile, which IS against the law in michigan. "unnecessary lane changes" is the ticket. so if i'm going 79 in a 75, and i have to keep getting into the left lane to pass the people going 75 then i'll get a ticket for changing lanes, not speeding. (cops around here don't write tickets for anything less than 5 over)

so i'll stay in the left lane unless someone is coming up quick on me...

When my father in law had a heart attack and we were trying to get him to the hospitol. Some ignorant thoughtless punk like yourself tried to block us. Please oh please come to my town and do this. I have a soft spot for assholes just like yourselves. I still remember the guys plate/make/and model. I will crush as many bones in his face as possible if I ever get the chance.

You have no idea why they need to get by you. You could have made them miss a last moment with a loved one. Possibly even rushing to the hospitol to help save someone.

Please don't be stupid your whole life.

You know, the im gonna stab you/cut your throat thing. Lucky for both of us nobody was around. SO at the next light hes still looking at me like hes about to snap, opens his door and just looks at me (still inside his car) my windows were down atm so I made clear to him what would happen should he continue.

Picked up the 12guage, racked the slide (no I wasnt pointing it at him) that noise alone was enough to change his mind. Only time ive ever had to do that. Hopefully the last.

Later on looking back at the situation it could have been avoided by just letting him pass, needless to say I try not to bother with ppl anymore. No need to provoke a situation that could be 100% avoided. If someone wants to zoom by im not going to get out of their way, but im not going to go out of my way to get in their way either. Its just not necessary.

True but no need to break it along with them, nor is it your place to slow them down. Let them go, so what. Worst case scenario they crash or get a ticket. I used to do this all the time, now I notice when others try to do it to me when im not even trying to drive like an ***.

Point taken. I also belive in a community self regulating when the Police arent around. The lack of people caring about not only other people but the community they live in breeds this type of behavior. I would take the assault charge to prevent that action again. And to be honest, I doubt the charge would stick.

One thing i hate is when i am in a long line off cars in the left lane and some dumb s--t trys to pass in the right lane to gain a couple of spots, then i will get up close with the car in front of me and yet I have had to hit the brakes because some jerks will still try to get in without enough space.

when i went to NYC for the first time, we arrived when it was my turn to drive through out the trip, and it sucked to say the least. almost got in like 4 accidents in like 14 minutes because other people just do what they want there.

i also got stuck in a group of asian tourists and they surrouned my car when i turned left on my green light, they just started crossing.
