I Lost My F**** Key....what Should I Do???

It is not cheap. It isn't a simple copy. They use your vin number to create the key.

I paid $3 to have a key to my truck made using the VIN. When I bought it, all they gave me was a copy from Lowe's. I needed some copys and I told them I wanted new ones.

However, my truck doesn't have a chip or anything special. I could have probably jammed a screwdriver into the ignition and turned it over

It depends. The key I broke was to a 96 Bonneville. Does it have any special chip in it?

No its just a plain standard altima so it shouldnt be more than ur key. The only reason im scared is cuz my roommate is tellin me that it is goin to cost at least $300 for a locksmith to come and get a key mold.

I thought $300 was way to high for key. but is its $35-50 then ill b straight.

Ima call the dealership tomorrow.

I don't think that year model altima has a chip in its key so it won't cost that much. I lost my key before for my gx and it was 200 to replaced. go to the dealership and talk to your salesman, he'll cut you a deal.

Don't get a locksmith. Bring all the info you have on the car to the dealer. They are going to want to see the registration as well.

i meant keyless entry, if you had that you could get in and your keys probably somewhere inside.

but yeahh maybe you should donate the car to charity and then gradually write it off of your taxes or your parents taxes hahaa
