It makes sense but isn't 100% legal and of course it is dishonest, but no one cares about that.
ahh so its a way to have them for 230 without having a plan on them...which makes them resellable, got it.the whole point of upgrading is so you can keep the original 5 phones at $230, which then also disconnects them from At&t. Then you return the 5 "upgraded" phones that you paid full retail for that have the phone numbers attached to them and then discontinue the family plan.
