the whole point of upgrading is so you can keep the original 5 phones at $230, which then also disconnects them from At&t. Then you return the 5 "upgraded" phones that you paid full retail for that have the phone numbers attached to them and then discontinue the family plan.

i dont understand the upgrade the lines part

when you buy an iphone you have to sign a 2 year contract, they would be stupid to let you upgrade within the day. What exactly are you upgrading? are you upgrading from 550 minutes to 700 minutes? Are you upgrading your iphone to another iphone, say a 8gb to a 16gb??

it just doesnt sound right to me, also you are activating all these phones with your debit/credit card.....big mistake
