Hi, I have had my system for about 6 months this is what I have

MTX thunder 6000 10 inch ( 2x)

Phoenix Gold ZR6.5Comp

Alpine Type S Rear

Phoenix Gold Xeonen 600.1 power the subs

Phoenix Gold R2.5.2 250watt 2 channel to power the fronts

Alpine CDA 9856

4 Gauge Wire Kit

I have a 60A fuse running up front by the battery. All of a sudden when I was running it loud as usual, the fuse blew for the first time. So I just thought maybe it was the song...

I went and got a couple more fuses just in case... I put one in, as I am turning up the juice in my system another one goes (not as nearly as loud as it was when I blew the first one..)

I will say this, whenever the bass hits the lights dim, the dashboard dims, the digital clock dims and all of that.

I have a 98 4dr 4cyl accord 2.3L.

The battery has been tested today at autozone.

It idles at 12.37v and revving at 2000RPMS for 14.04V

Also all together it has 3.7A.

Thats all the information I have... But I was just wondering what can I do to fix this, and whats the problem!?!? Its killing me I want to listen to my beautiful system!!!

Obviously there is a problem...

My Xenon 600.1 Class D Amp is 60A Fuse

and my other amp is 20A Fuse

there all ran on the same line so does that make a difference?

I was thinking of going for a 80A Fuse... I don't want to go something to big and short something out, because I mean the 60A was doing fine all 6 months up until a couple days ago...

so why all of a sudden start just start blowing fuses right????

It's not a big enough fuse i agree with ulitmate get a bigger fuse be done with it . and look into the big 3 for all the dimming etc......not a fix for everything but may be something to look into:).

Not trying to sound like a numbskull, but if the 60A was running fine for so long why would it just start blowing now? and 3 of them at volumes that I have played higher before?

It just doesn't make sense.. The only thing I could think of logically, is that I wore out my charging system.... Or I am just really unlucky...

Anyone concur with me? I am going to bring it to the local audio place after this winter storm passes by and see whats up maybe they can do a load test on for me..

that used to happen to me all the time with my distibutor block, i found out that the problem was the actuall fuse was melting, so i switched to anl fuses, or you could just use a cuircuit breaker and then you wont be paying for a whole bunch of fuses

Yeah the place that I got it installed at said I could get a circuit breaker, but I don't want that I want to fix the problem...

I may just be over thinking this and it could just be that the fuse is to small.... I will try an 80A fuse...

Ok well, I called up my local audio shop there big rip offs when it comes to buying stuff from there but, I told them my problem and they do a full diagnostic test to see whats the problem...

They said it costs 50 dollars , but what ever at least Ill know what the problem is.. Ill be going there tomorrow..

noooooo, dont go pay they 50 bux to look at ur car

just see if a bigger fuse becuse the math is already there for you, you are pullin more than 60 amps from ur car with ur amp.

u will be wasting 50 bux for them to tell you your fuse was too small
