I just got a $13.60 an hour job today

SK2 in the navy been in for 3 years and make about 47K a year and I just got a $3300 reenlistment bonus and when I first came in I got an $8000 bonus.

Y'all got the easy jobs... Good bonuses, fast advancement, etc...

Of course, I cant really complain all that much, my last re-enlistment bonus was $37k for 5 years (4.0 for zone B). in 3 years from now, I'll max out (4.0 for zone C for 6 years).

But our advancement rate sucks!!! Corpsmen are the 3rd hardest to make rank in the Navy...

sucks but 16 year olds always get the shit jobs..i turn 17 this april.hoping to get some kind of construction job this summer

Yeah getting to E5 was easy but from there up it's a locked up maybe like 10% advancement. Oh SK is easy but it's even easier when your a FTS like my recruiter said I got the cake and ice cream program

he didn't lie I've done my first 3 years at a reserve center it doesn't get any easier than that, now I'm going to a ship which might end up being my only sea duty

Not really, 18 was where its at, i wanted to do construction also, but had to wait until i was 18, i ended up working for kinsley (large construction company around here) for 2 1/2 years and made all sorts of cash... Also got a pretty nice workout each day to, and a tan to go with it

I'm on Sea Duty right now. I'm with a "deployable" USMC unit, but just because it's able doesn't mean its probable...

They'd give me extra for mine, I've had the Hepatitis B Vaccine series 3 times. My titer is pretty high...

Had a promotion opportunity to make around $15 a few months ago, but it would have been a lot of lifting and would've required 40-50hrs while going to school. Ended up quitting the job completely.

I'm poor as hell now building a few speaker boxes on the side to pay bills, but I'm happier overall and that's all I'm concerned about.
